Admissions

The Local Authority coordinates admissions to all Primary, Infant and Junior Schools in Derbyshire.  This includes children with disabilities and in local authority care. Essentially the Authority acts as a ‘clearing house’ for all admissions and enables parents to express a preference for one, two or three schools and to place those preferences in rank order.  A guide to applying for a school place is available here. 

Parents can apply for a school place online via Derbyshire School Admissions or by telephone on Call Derbyshire 08456 058058.

Applications for a Primary school place in September 2022 close at Midnight on 15/01/2018. If you have not yet applied for a place for your child, you should make your application through the late online application facility available at http://www.derbyshire.gov.uk/education/schools_colleges/school_admissions/ which is available from 9:00am .  Thereafter your application should be made through the In-Year application facility in the Changing Schools Section.

All applications for September 2022 open on 8th November 2021. with a closing date of 15 January 2022. The results of your application will not be available until April 2022  -  Offer Day.

Our published admissions number (PAN) for 2021-2022 is 20 pupils.

The majority of our children transfer to Crich Junior School.  We have established transfer procedures between our two schools. 

These include:-

• Discussions between teaching staff of both schools.
• Children’s visits.
• Parent’s meetings.

At the end of the Junior School, children usually move to one of the following three secondary schools.
